Back from the Dead pt. II

After close to a two-month hiatus, I'm back. Going to the 2007 Boyd Conference and meeting Zenpundit, Shloky, John Robb, and tdaxp in person reinvigorated my blogger instinct. Why did I go for so long? Chalk it up to another crisis of confidence that I periodically go through about the value of blogging. But I think I can safely say that no matter how conflicted I sometimes can be about blogging, I'm going keep doing it--it's way too much fun to give up.

I'll have an update tomorrow describing the conference in more detail--for now I need to sleep and hopefully get myself off East Coast time.

I've been visiting periodically, was worried something had happened.

But it's just blog burnout?

You have other outlets; I so far do not (by choice.) I can see how you might need to weigh the time spent blogging versus the time to complete other writing assignments. Perhaps you need to utilize your blog in a way that benefits other things you do? (Can that be done, heh?)

Looking forward to seeing more from you.

Silly me, then! I didn't put it together... I've been a lurker here for some time. Quite like it. That was me who chimed in that I've never even heard of this 'Bright Eyes' guy... It was nice to meet you.

Thanks for the concern, Curtis. Blog burnout is a problem for me, because I've never been completely comfortable with the medium. I guess now that I've met a lot of my readers and colleagues in person it doesn't just feel like I'm typing off into the ether (which was one of my major psychological hang-ups).

It's really good to see you back. Many of your posts require outside reading to comprehend the nuances, and I missed the challenges.
