Stolen Thunder

I was going to do a memorial day post, but I don't think I can honestly do better than this piece by Eddie (Hidden Unities). It's angry for sure, but rage is the only appropriate emotion for the grim reality of our long national nightmare. Like Paul Yingling, Eddie's also well-placed to evaluate the unfortunate reality of the dysfunctional state of civil-military relations.

Thank you, though Lt. Col Yingling can say so much more and far better than I ever could.

It kills me to see these idiots like Jules Crittenden pissing on Bacevich because he had the nerve to deviate from their precious narrative of the liberals and terrorists who are to blame for everything while we spread the "gift" of democracy to the "grateful" Iraqis in our great success over there.
